please enjoy (?)

(if you don't recognize the sokoban puzzle this is riffing on, you should probably play it here first -- it's level 1)

controls

  • WASD/arrow keys: turn
  • X/Space: use menu / set speed / advance time
  • Escape: go to level select menu (there's a bonus level if you beat the first one)

gameplay tip: if speed 1 is too much, try speed 0 -- the snake will only move when you press X/Space

This was a headache but got there in the end.

Why are there TWO of them?!

A funny gimmick on paper that actually was really interesting in execution! The most interesting part for me was the fact that the sokoban player only moves once while the snake keeps moving. Working around that was an interesting puzzle.

this is wild, nicely done!

Hilarious! I wonder what the most compact snake solution would look like

The most compact one I can figure out is

although it looks like the opening steps are hidden by the sokoban overlay

what have you done

I'd forgotten I'd even done that. It took a "few" tries. Looking back at it, I'm still a bit disappointed that there's a dozen or so snake movements where the block pusher just stands still, but I'm still kind of proud of it if just for how nicely the snake folded up into the endgame.

I'm not good at snek :v
